Common Questions
Data Delay: 48-72 hours
The data available from the Youtube API is delayed 48-72 hours. You will see a slight delay in YT analytics within your dashboard. Te data made available from YT's API is out of our control.
Can I Show My Total Subscribers?
Not at this time but it is on our roadmap. The YouTube widget has greatly expanded over time, so this will be available in the future (among other metrics!)
Connection Error/Problems (Old Widget That Was Previously Working)
Most likely Google/YouTUbe expired your third party connection. (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, etc do this to third party connections every 60 days or so -- there's no way to stop this, or a connection can be expired upon changing a password).
The fix is simple!- Reconfigure your existing YouTube widget by clicking on the gear icon located at the top right corner of the widget.
- Click on the Google/YouTube Account drop down and select the first empty entry in the list. Then click on the Add Account button located next to this drop down list.
- A new popup will open where Google will ask you to confirm the connection. Click on the Accept button.
- The popup will automatically close and you will be back on the widget configuration screen in Cyfe. Now click on the Save Widget button.
You should only have to do this for one widget.
I'm Unable To Select A YouTube Video In The Dropdown Menu
Try this. Open a new PRIVATE browser window, log in to Cyfe, and connect your YouTube widget. At this point you should be able to log in to the YouTube account. If logged into the correct Google account (the one that's connected to YouTube) you should be able to see both the email address and channel on the subsequent screen. Try clicking on the channel and see if Cyfe connects successfully and pulls your videos for that channel. Please contact our friendly Support team if it doesn't!
